Seminar "On the threshold of APEC 2017"

In order to equip basic knowledge about APEC and APEC 2017, in the morning of 03/11/2017, at People's Committee hall, Dien Ban Town People's Committee in cooperation with Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Da Nang (VCCI Da Nang) held a seminar "On the threshold of APEC 2017".

Leader representatives of the People's Committee, the Fatherland Front Committee, Units of Town Party Committee and Party Committee Offical of Dien Ban Town, the leaders of the town's branches and unions; Representatives of People's Committees of 20 communes and wards; leaders of the delegations and branches of the town and representatives of leaders of enterprises, cooperatives and households operating in Dien Ban town.

At the seminar, Mr. Nguyen Dien - Deputy Director of the Da Nang Chamber of Commerce and Industry introduced the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum and disseminated the Resolution No. 35 / 2016 / NQ-CP on supporting and developing enterprises by 2020.
The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC) is the leading economic cooperation mechanism in the Asia-Pacific region with the main objective of contributing to promote sustainable prosperous economic growth in the area. In 2017, Vietnam will take over the role of host of APEC Year 2017, with the theme of "Creating a new momentum, looking after a common future together"
APEC 2017,  which is scheduled to take place from November 5 to 11, will be attended by leaders from 21 member economies and more than 10,000 domestic and international delegates and thousands of press reporters. Danang was chosen as the host city for APEC 2017. That is considered a great responsibility and a great opportunity not only for Da Nang but also for surrounding areas, including Quang Nam. That is also an opportunity to attract investors, especially the beach coast length of more than 200 km from Da Nang, Quang Nam and Thua Thien Hue will attract large corporations to invest.
